Villa Ambar is situated within walking distance of Cala'n Blanes, with its small but pretty beach at the end of a long cove that opens into the sea opposite Ciudadela's main promontory. It's a charming property, perfect for families who enjoy having the privacy of their own pool, but who also want to be close to the quiet resort of Cala'n Blanes.

Whether you are family seeking a resort with lots to keep the children happy, or grown ups seeking sun and sand, a holiday at Villa Ambar in Cala'n Forcat will more than tick the boxes. Children will adore the bouncy castles, aqua park and trampolines in Cala'n Forcat, while couples are certain to enjoy stretching out on the bathing platforms by day and then hitting the bars by night. Cala'n Forcat is also a superb place from which to discover the rest of the west coast. Set 30 miles from Mahon and approximately 5km to the west of the previous capital, Ciudadela, nestling on a dramatic rocky headland, Cala'n Forcat is considered to be Menorca's liveliest resort. But Menorca's answer to Magaluf it is not. This is Cala'n Forcat's appeal for many who book up to holiday at Villa Ambar. In Cala'n Forcat you'll still uncover cheap fast food outlets, English theme pubs and karaoke dens, but it's a lot more low-key when compared to its busy Balearic neighbour. And once you get to Villa Ambar you'll probably have such a great holiday that you will want to return next year.....

Villa Ambar is in Cala n Forcat which is to be found on the Mediterranean island of Menorca (sometimes spelt as Minorca). Those who have already visited Majorca or Ibiza, will soon find that Menorca is often less lively than the other islands. With many more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is reknowned for it's many resorts that are suitable for families. The northern coast of Menorca is mainly very rugged and sprinkled with quiet fishing villages. The southern coast of Menorca is mainly less rugged and is sprinkled with quiet resorts that are family-friendly.

As already mentioned Menorca is relatively a compact island. If you hire a car you should be able tour the whole island. There are a lot of tourist information offices dotted around in the resorts of Menorcaoffering the latest information about Menorca beaches, local events and excursions. The Menorca tourism information offices also supply local local maps.

The island of Menorca is a lot smaller and less bustling than Majorca. This tranquillity explains why Menorcan holidays are generally focussed on the family holiday market. It is no suprise that the majority of holiday destinations are considered to be family friendly. The Balearic island of Menorca has avoided over-development and maintains more of the original character than the other islands. So why don't you pack your bags and book up for Villa Ambar in Cala n Forcat and absorb some sun on an island with Balearic charm and character?
