Villa Ambar is situated within walking distance of Cala'n Blanes, with its small but pretty beach at the end of a long cove that opens into the sea opposite Ciudadela's main promontory. It's a charming property, faultless for families who enjoy having the privacy of their own pool, but who also want to be near to the quiet resort of Cala'n Blanes.

Whether you are family in search of a resort with plenty of stuff to keep the kids happy, or adults in search of sun and sand, a holiday at Villa Ambar in Cala'n Forcat will certainly tick the boxes. Children will like the bouncy castles, aqua park and trampolines in Cala'n Forcat, at the same time twosomes are sure to enjoy stretching out on the bathing platforms by day and then hitting the bars by night. Cala'n Forcat is also a great base from which to uncover the rest of the west coast. Located 30 miles from Mahon and approximately 5km west of the former capital, Ciudadela, nestling on a rocky headland, Cala'n Forcat is probably Menorca's liveliest resort. That said, Menorca's answer to Magaluf it is not. This is Cala'n Forcat's appeal for a lot who choose to stay at Villa Ambar. In Cala'n Forcat you'll still uncover inexpensive snack bars, English theme pubs and karaoke dens, but it's very low-key when compared to its busy Balearic neighbour. With a flight time of less than 3 hours, late availability holidays to Cala'n Forcat are an attractive proposition. And after you get to Villa Ambar you'll probably have such a great holiday that you will want to come again next year.....

Villa Ambar is in the resort of Cala n Forcat which is set on the Mediterranean island of Menorca (occasionally known as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic islands and is only 21 miles from the larger island, Majorca. Anyone who has already taken a holiday in Majorca or Ibiza, will find that Menorca is generally quieter than the other Balaeric islands. With many more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is well known for it's large number of resorts that are family-friendly. The north coast of Menorca is mainly quite rugged and sprinkled with quiet fishing villages. The south coast of Menorca is generally a complete contrast and is dotted with tranquil resorts that are relaxed and low key.

As already stated Menorca is relatively a smallish island. By hiring a car you could easily get around the whole island. There are numerous tourist information offices to be found in the resorts of Menorcaoffering current information regarding Minorcan events, beaches, attractions and excursions. The tourist information offices are also an excellent source for local maps.

Menorca is far more compact and slower paced than Mallorca. This tranquillity explains why Menorcan holidays are mainly targetted at family holidays. Unsuprisingly many of resorts are deemed to be family friendly. The island of Menorca is less developed and maintains a lot of the original charm than the busier islands. So don't delay, pack your bags and head off to Villa Ambar in Cala n Forcat and absorb the sun on an island with authentic character and charm?
