Carolina is a bright and spacious villa not far from the sandy beach. Well-equipped, contemporary and attractively equipped, so you can enjoy your own private pool and sun terrace as an alternative to spending every day on the beach.

Whether you are family seeking a resort with plenty to keep the children happy, or a couple searching for sun and sand, a holiday to Villa Carolina in Cala'n Forcat will more than fit the bill. Children will like the bouncy castles, aqua park and trampolines in Cala'n Forcat, whilst couples are sure to enjoy stretching out on the bathing platforms by day and then hitting the bars by night. Cala'n Forcat is also a great base from which to discover the rest of the west coast. Set 50km from Mahon and about 3 miles west of the former capital, Ciudadela, perching on a rocky headland, Cala'n Forcat is probably Menorca's liveliest resort. But Menorca's answer to Magaluf it is not. This is Cala'n Forcat's appeal for most who decide to holiday at Villa Carolina. In Cala'n Forcat you'll still find cheap fast food outlets, English theme pubs and karaoke dens, but it's low-key when compared to its busy Balearic neighbour. With a flight time of less than 3 hours, late availability holidays to Cala'n Forcat are an agreeable proposition. And when you get to Villa Carolina you'll probably have a superb holiday that you will want to come back next year.....

Villa Carolina is in Cala n Forcat which is set on the Mediterranean island of Menorca (sometimes spelt as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second biggest of the three Balearic islands and is just 34 kilometers from the larger island, Majorca. Those who have already visited either Majorca or Ibiza, will soon discover that Menorca is generally less lively than the other islands. With more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is famous for it's large number of resorts that are family-friendly. The northern coast of Menorca is mainly very rugged and sprinkled with tranquil fishing villages. The south coast of Menorca is generally a complete contrast and is sprinkled with quiet resorts that are suitable for families.

As we previously mentioned Menorca is relatively a smallish island. By renting a car you should be able tour the entire island. There are a lot of tourist information offices to be found in the towns of Menorcaoffering up to date information regarding Menorcan events, beaches, attractions and excursions. The Menorca tourism information offices are also an excellent source for a map.

The island of Menorca is much smaller and less bustling than Mallorca. This unhurried pace is probably why Menorca holidays are mainly targetted at a family holiday. It is no suprise that a lot of resorts are classed as family friendly. The island of Menorca is less developed and maintains more of the authentic island charm than the other islands. So don't delay, pack your bags and head off to Villa Carolina in Cala n Forcat and take in some sun at a destination with authentic character and charm?
