And once you get to Villa Carolina you're likely to have a wonderful holiday that you will want to come again next year..... Villa Carolina is in Cala n Forcat which is set on the Balearic island of Menorca (sometimes spelt as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second biggest of the three Balearic islands and is only 21 miles from the larger Balearic island, Majorca. Anyone who has previously been to Majorca or Ibiza, will notice that Menorca is frequently less lively than the other islands. With a larger number beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is famous for it's large number of resorts that are suitable for families. The north coast of Menorca is mainly very rugged and sprinkled with tranquil fishing villages. The south coast of Menorca is generally a complete contrast and is sprinkled with tranquil resorts that are family-friendly. As already mentioned Menorca is quite a smallish island. By hiring a car you should be able tour the entire island. There are plenty of tourism information offices dotted around in the holiday resorts of Menorca providing current information about Menorcan excursions, beaches and local events. The tourism information offices are also a great place for a map of the island. Menorca is far more compact and slower paced than Mallorca. This peacefulness is a major reason why Menorca holidays are generally aimed towards a family holiday. It is no suprise that many of resorts are considered to be family friendly. Menorca is less developed and maintains a lot of the original Spanish character than Majorca and Ibiza. So don't hang about pack your flip-flops and book a holiday in Villa Carolina in Cala n Forcat and absorb the sun on an island with Balearic character and charm? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
