Villa Raquel, like its sister property Villa Ingrid, is a delightful villa, just a stroll from the access path to the sandy beach. It's a well-equipped, modern and attractively equipped villa, with its own private pool and sun terrace.

If you are family seeking a resort with plenty to keep the kids happy, or grown ups seeking sun and sand, a holiday at Villa Raquel in Cala'n Forcat will definitely fit the bill. Children will adore the bouncy castles, aqua park and trampolines in Cala'n Forcat, at the same time twosomes are certain to enjoy stretching out on the bathing platforms by day and then hitting the bars by night. Cala'n Forcat is also an excellent base from which to discover the rest of the west coast. Positioned 50km from Mahon and approximately 5km to the west of the former capital, Ciudadela, nestling on a dramatic rocky headland, Cala'n Forcat is probably Menorca's liveliest resort. That said, Menorca's answer to Magaluf it is not. This is Cala'n Forcat's appeal for many who choose to stay at Villa Raquel. In Cala'n Forcat you'll still find cheap snack bars, English theme pubs and karaoke dens, but it's low-key in comparison with its busy Balearic neighbour. With a flight time of under 3 hours, last minute holidays to Cala'n Forcat are an alluring proposition. And after you get to Villa Raquel you're likely to have such a superb holiday that you will want to come again next year.....

Villa Raquel is in Cala n Forcat which is set on the Balearic island of Menorca (sometimes spelt as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second biggest of the Balearic islands and is just 21 miles from the larger Balearic island, Majorca. Anyone who has already taken a holiday in either Majorca or Ibiza, will discover that Menorca is usually less lively than the other Balaeric islands. With more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is reknowned for it's many resorts that are suitable for families. The northern coast of Menorca is mainly quite rugged and dotted with peaceful fishing villages. The southern coast of Menorca is mainly less rugged and is populated with tranquil resorts that are family-friendly.

As already mentioned Menorca is quite a small island. By hiring a car you will be able visit the entire island. There are a lot of tourism information offices situated in in the holiday resorts of Menorca. These provide current information about Menorca beaches, local events and excursions. The Menorca tourism information offices are also a great place for a map of the island.

Menorca is far smaller and less lively than Mallorca. This tranquillity is a major reason why Menorcan holidays are generally aimed towards the family holiday market. It is no suprise that most of resorts are classed as family friendly. The island of Menorca has avoided over-development and keeps more of the original Spanish charm than the busier islands. So don't delay, pack your bags and head off to Villa Raquel in Cala n Forcat and take in some sun on an island with charm and character?
