Villa Raquel, like its sister property Villa Ingrid, is a delightful villa, just a stroll from the access path to the sandy beach. It's a well-equipped, modern and attractively furnished villa, with its own private pool and sun terrace.

If you are family seeking a resort with plenty of stuff to keep the kids happy, or grown ups looking for sun and sand, a holiday to Villa Raquel in Cala'n Forcat will more than fit the bill. Children will like the bouncy castles, aqua park and trampolines in Cala'n Forcat, at the same time twosomes are certain to enjoy stretching out on the bathing platforms by day and then hitting the bars by night. Cala'n Forcat is also a superb base from which to explore the rest of the west coast. Situated just over 30 miles from Mahon and approximately 5km west of the former capital, Ciudadela, nestling on a dramatic rocky headland, Cala'n Forcat is considered to be Menorca's liveliest resort. That said, Menorca's answer to Magaluf it is not. This is Cala'n Forcat's appeal for a lot who decide to holiday at Villa Raquel. In Cala'n Forcat you'll still find inexpensive fast food outlets, English theme pubs and karaoke dens, but it's low-key in comparison with its busy Balearic neighbour. With a flight time of under 3 hours, late deal holidays to Cala'n Forcat are an agreeable proposition. And once you get to Villa Raquel you're likely to have an excellent holiday that you will want to return next year.....

Villa Raquel is in the resort of Cala n Forcat which can be found on the Mediterranean island of Menorca (also spelt as Minorca). The island of Menorca is the second largest of the three Balearic islands and is just 21 miles from the bigest island, Majorca. Those who have already taken a holiday in either Majorca or Ibiza, will realise that Menorca is generally quieter than the other islands. With more beaches than any other Balearic island, Menorca is reknowned for it's many resorts that are focused on family holidays. The northern coast of Menorca is generally quite rugged and populated with peaceful fishing villages. The south coast of Menorca is mainly a complete contrast and is dotted with quiet resorts that are family-friendly.

As already stated Menorca is quite a smallish island. If you hire a car you should be able visit the entire island. There are a lot of tourism information offices dotted around in the towns of Menorca providing up to date information regarding Minorcan beaches, local events and excursions. The tourism information offices also supply local a map of the island.

The island of Menorca is a lot less expansive and less lively than Majorca. This peacefulness is probably why Menorca holidays are usually targetted at the family holiday market. It is no suprise that the majority of holiday destinations are considered to be family friendly. The island of Menorca is less developed and retains more of the original Spanish charm than Majorca and Ibiza. So why don't you pack your sunglasses and book a holiday in Villa Raquel in Cala n Forcat and absorb some sun on an island with charm and character?
